San Francisco, Calif. – July 7, 2010 - TRUSTe, provider of the leading online privacy trustmark, today announced two new members to its Board of Directors: Ben Golub, President and CEO of Gluster, Inc., as an independent board member; and Jeb Miller, General Partner at Jafco Ventures, as a TRUSTe investor. Golub and Miller join the board following on the footsteps of TRUSTe’s $12 million Series B funding and at a time of high growth for the company, as it continues to expand in the enterprise market and ramps up to meet increasing demand among small- and medium-sized businesses.

Prior to joining Gluster, Golub served for five years as President and CEO at Plaxo, Inc., a social networking infrastructure pioneer. During his tenure at Plaxo, Golub led a complete turnaround for the company, bringing it to profitability, attaining over 20 million users, and orchestrating a large and successful acquisition by Comcast Interactive Media. Golub has also held several executive roles at VeriSign, including Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President/General Manager of the Enterprise Security, SSL and Payments divisions. He also serves on the board for BlueSwarm, Inc. and Partners for Youth with Disabilities.
Miller has more than 15 years of experience working with early-stage technology companies as a venture capitalist, operating executive and investment banker. Prior to joining Jafco Ventures, Miller was with the Silicon Valley office of The Carlyle Group, focused on technology investing. His venture investing experience includes three years as Partner at ComVentures, as well as three years as Principal, Worldview Technology Partners. He has also held the position of Managing Director of Business Development for Scient, a pioneering Internet consulting firm. In addition to his position on the TRUSTe board, Miller serves of the board of Purfresh and World Golf Tour. He also serves as a consultant to the Defense Venture Catalyst Initiative program of the US Department of Defense.
