At TRUSTe, we hold our clients to industry-leading online privacy standards. TRUSTe does everything possible to help our client Web sites protect the privacy of your personal information, but we also rely on your vigilance. We back up the integrity of our seal programs with our online Dispute Resolution program, which lets users hold TRUSTe clients accountable.
TRUSTe’s Dispute Resolution Form is an online tool that lets you report violations of posted privacy statements and specific online privacy issues that pertain to TRUSTe clients Web sites. TRUSTe investigates all eligible complaints and mediates solutions between users and Web sites.
Before you complete the Dispute Resolution Form, please follow these steps:
- Confirm that the Web site in question is a TRUSTe client
- Verify that the complaint is a privacy matter relating to a TRUSTe client Web site
- Contact the TRUSTe client Web site first
If the TRUSTe member does not resolve your complaint quickly and satisfactorily, TRUSTe will review your complaint, make sure it’s eligible and mediate a solution.
