TRUSTe EU-US Safe Harbor Seal Program Facts
TRUSTe's EU Safe Harbor Seal Program has nearly 200 member companies who are taking advantage of the multi-lingual Watchdog Dispute Resolution Program.Every consumer contact receives personal attention by a TRUSTe staff member. TRUSTe handled 986 EU-related consumer complaints in 2007, and resolved over 1,200 such complaints in 2008.
Seven to ten complaints per year in 2007 and 2008 that directly concerned the EU Safe Harbor Seal Program resulted in changes to a licensee's site and/or privacy practices.
